Just a little bit about me and my interest in Steemit.

I’ve been on Steemit since December 2017 but only really started to get interested since I bought some Steem tokens and converted them into Steem Power a week ago. This has made a difference and my interest in the platform has perked up. I wanted to know how it works and have found useful information from searches. There is much more depth to this whole upvoting business than I ever could have imagined. I also found something called steemstats which shows the percentage of daily power one has left. I’m learning something new everyday.

You might be wondering what a visit to the studio has got to do with Steemit. Well, I just wanted to tell those following me in what my interests are and what they can expect in the future. I’m a painter living in Cape Town, South Africa and I work mainly in oils. I have travelled the country in search of subject matter for my paintings of small town shops and general dealer stores. I’ve been doing this since the 1970’s. I will be posting some of my work from time to time.

Photography

I have a great interest in photography and love seeing thought the ‘eye’ of the camera. I think this will be the major theme of my postings. My favorite area is the Great Karoo so expect to see images from this area.

Cryptocurrency

Just before joining Steemit I was introduced to Cryptocurrency and had the thrilling ride of seeing my tokens skyrocket only to plunge down. Now they are breaking even again. Blockchain is groundbreaking and I enjoy watching daily videos on dTube about all the new developments. I feel the same sense of excitement as when the internet first came into being in the 1990’s.
