Various English test applications

Hi?

We share information about typical English tests that can be taken domestically in order to evaluate English proficiency after leaving the company.

In the case of TOEFL or IELTS, the exam fee was too expensive and excluded speaking tests.

  1. TOEIC: Because everyone knows so well, I do not give any detailed explanation. When I was in high school in '96, I emphasized that my English teacher would be going to the English test like TOEIC. So after studying SAT, I studied some TOEIC teaching material. Later, during college and while preparing for employment, I had a lot of TOEIC tests, but I was a little hesitant about doing business. Unlike in the past, listening to English, Canadian, English, and Australian pronunciation mixed with the pronunciation of the unfamiliar English, Australia is a bit confusing except to be confused when you hear the pronunciation.

The exam fees are also low and the number of people who came to the test center was the most because they were widely recognized as language qualifications.

  1. FLEX: This is a more famous exam for the second foreign language exam, which is divided into listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is held jointly by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Therefore, the number of people who took only English subjects was the smallest. The registration fee is only 38,000 won for regular registration.

Listening 50 questions / 30 minutes / total score 400 points

Read 90 questions / 90 minutes / total score 600 points

The type is similar to TOEIC, but it is more ambiguous than TOEIC when it is all heard and read and interpreted. And in the listening part, you need to watch and listen to the problem as in TOEIC, not to mark it on the answer sheet, but to make notes and mark it on the answer sheet. Because the term is very short between the problem and the problem, % You will be embarrassed. And if I compare the reading part of the reading with the TOEIC, I think that there is not a big difference between TOEIC 48 and FLEX because it is 50. All the prints are dense. Because there are no fingerprints that can be read literally like e-mail, letters, and advertisements of TOEIC Reading, I think it is like TOEIC reading, but there is a shortage of time.

  1. G-TELP: I had a memorandum of exam in the second year of university in 1998. Almost twenty years ago. G-TELP has levels 1 ~ 5, but you can not take 1st grade from the beginning. Level 2 is 57,200 won, which is expensive compared to other tests. It is possible to take the exam only after receiving Mastery grade at the level of listening / reading 75% or more at level 2 and also at the Seoul head office (Garak Dong). I was only in the second grade because I was in the province.

It seems to be about half of the number of TOEIC applicants. So there are many people studying around the entrance of the test hall. There are no problem prints or view prints in the listening sequence. There are four fingerprints to listen to, each of which has six to seven problems associated with it, so you need to take notes and be highly focused. It is easy to pronounce because the pronunciation is only American. Reading was also second grade, so it was just fine.

Grammar: 26 questions / 20 minutes
Listening: 26 questions / about 30 minutes
Reading and Vocabulary: 28 questions / 40 minutes
Total: 80 questions / about 90 minutes

  1. TEPS: Before the G-TELP test in 1998, I announced that I would make an official English test at SNUCRAFT in SNUCRAFT. However, I did not give any attention to it for 20 years, and I took my first exam in May. The examination fee is 39,000, and there is a regular examination once or twice a month.

If TOEIC is ordinary coffee, TEPS is TOP. What is meant is that TOEIC is a trick, and I think that you can get the answer by knowing only 80% of the contents of the question (subjective standard). But there are many things in TEPS that (most of them) are solving and I should be able to confidently explain myself why this is the right answer and why the rest are wrong.

The picture below shows the exam configuration information on the TEPS homepage. I do not have to test the test once, neither know-how nor this. Please note that I have listed the singularities in relation to TOEIC personally below.

(1) Listening Part 4: The fingerprints are long but read twice.

(2) Grammar Part 3: It is important to know the grammatical knowledge correctly and find out where it is wrong. It seems to be a rat poison to those who are familiar with TOEIC.

(3) Reading All: Like FLEX, I feel that the fingerprints are all tight. There is not much I can read lightly like TOEIC. It seems that time management is good at the last minute. For example, because of time problems, reading 5 ~ 10 problems can not be done at all, and roughly reading and unpacking, there is a big difference in score. When I get older, my concentration is getting worse. ㅠ

(4) Overall feeling of TEPS: I felt that I had a better problem than TOEIC. It seems to be more discriminating and there is more to study. (Especially grammar, vocabulary ...) I feel that it meets the purpose of the English proficiency test, and I think there will be more lectures and know-how in the future (compared to TOEIC).

From the end of April to the end of May, I ran four examinations, but I will only look at TEPS a few more times in the future. After taking the exam many times, I think I have changed my thinking about English study. I also had a meeting about the English test, and I was worried that the objective test was a test.

Thank you for reading so far.
