I work at a hotel as a Banquet Waiter. If you aren't familiar with the job title (as most are) basically I am a super waiter that decorate and service customers who rent space in the hotel for events such as: weddings, financial meetings, retirement parties, wakes. Yet being a Banquet Waiter or a regular waiter at a restaurant the biggest struggle we face is when the kitchen screws up.
It is beyond frustrating when you've made efforts to please your client/customer and you came back with their food just for them to look at it with confusion or in worst case distaste. Then all of your hard works goes out of the window because who are they going to be upset with? You! You are the only face they've seen so you are the only one to blame. It blows! There's nothing to do but smile say sorry and try to fix up the kitchens mistake. Long story short: Please understand that your waiter tries their best to make your experience the best because that's our job but realize that they aren't the ones who cook your meals so treat them more nicely if your meat is pinker then you'd like and ask them politely to let the kitchen know your preference instead of aiming your aggression towards your waiter. Rant done :) and remember tip your waiter.
Yes we are all human and should be treated as such. I couldn't see why not to tip you.
