Storm Eleanor hits the United Kingdom

British authorities have issued a warning to citizens as Elinor approaches the country's coast, where winds of up to 128 km / h are expected to affect many parts of the UK.
The weather bureau's warning includes parts of northern England and vast areas of southern Scotland and northern Ireland, and will remain until Wednesday, the BBC added, adding that some many western coastal communities could be affected by massive waves.
The Office of Meteorology has indicated that electricity and other services could be cut off or hinder public transport.
At the same time, the EEA warned that synchronizing strong winds with high waves could cause coastal flooding in many parts of the UK.
Storm Elinor is the fifth storm to hit the UK this winter.
