On our third day in England we did a little road trip from Birmingham to the South of England. Our first stop was in the picturesque town of Bath and we started by taking photos of the classic Avon river (you will see in many peoples photos) from the Pulteney Bridge.
Next up we decided to go to the original Roman Baths in town! The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level and there are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the museum, holding finds from Roman Bath (I got his info from Wikipedia). We explored this awesome historic site, but unfortunately you can't get into the water anymore... well, the water looked to dodgy to try out anyway.
From here we simply explored Bath by foot and just made sure we went to the famous Royal Crescent. The Royal Crescent is a row of 30 terraced houses laid out in a sweeping crescent in the city. We enjoyed the awesome architecture through the city and had some snacks in a park before continuing on our road trip.
Another interesting thing in Bath is the pigs. King Bladud's Pigs in Bath was a 2008 public art event to celebrate Bath, its origins and its artists - and provide residents and visitors with artistic enjoyment. Over one hundred decorated pig sculptures were on display throughout the summer around Bath and beyond (see http://www.kingbladudspigs.org/). You can see quite a few of these pigs in my photos!
Tell me what you think and stay tuned for more?!

Looks like a great journey, @extremejogging! We were in UK back in June 2017 and went all over downtown London, South Hampton, Stonehenge and even rented a car so we could experience driving on the left side of the road. One thing to note... if you rent a car, make sure you get a toll-pass. Those things are elusive and they sent us a $230 USD fine because we went through one (and had no idea we even did!) Sneaky Buggers!
Do you guys travel full-time & have a biz online too? Would love to connect! Great pics!
Thanks, glad you like it. We also rented a car for the entire road-trip. Back in the those days they probably did not have the toll-pass things... we did not know about it and luckily did not get any fines! ;)
Here in South Africa we also drive in on the left side of the road, so it is easy for us. :)
I wish... not a full-time traveler but I've traveled a lot and travel whenever I can. My wife travels often for research and I take the opportunities to go with and run some mountains. Win-win. ;)
No way - I live here (or 30 minutes away to be precise). Hope you had a good time :D
Haha, nice. We did have an awesome time thanks. ;)
So beautiful blue sky and sun is shining.. its really England? ;)
Thanks, fair questions... ;) It was mid summer... June.
I feel like walking around. photos and narration are very good.
Thanks, glad you like it. ;)
