RE: [Negotiations] Succession of Streemian.com - Reactivation

in #streemian7 years ago

This event highlights a couple of things.

  1. What @chainsquad did was wrong and in bad taste. They have lost users trust. So many users have revoked and might opt out. So I am not sure if the new reputed party will still be willing to go ahead with the negotiations.

  2. We generally don't read the "Terms and Conditions" before signing up. I haven't read more than 90% of T&C of the website I sign up for. So I think it should be mandatory for companies to share Most Important Terms and conditions (MITC). It would be great if MITC can be curated/reviewed by the community so the end users interests are represented.

  3. Most of the new users are not aware of keys and how they function. I gave my keys/rights to Streemian when I started fresh in Steemit. I think we should educate new users about how these keys function more proactively. I will be doing this from the https://steemit.com/@steemladder handle.

I singed up in the beta stage. There were no terms and conditions or opt out thing clear back then. I haven't used the service in probably 9 months since it hasn't worked properly. No notification that the TC had changed.

exactly!!!

yep! Same here.

Yes, this is ex-post-facto bullshit. I hope this destroys Streemian.
