Some casual streeming on twitch!

in #streaming7 years ago

Hey everyone!

I've started some casual streaming on Twitch where I just curate and interact with people either in Steemit.chat or on the Twitch chat. Currently don't have a working mic or camera but will probably get that once my new PC arrives as well!

I've actually had this idea for quite some time now, even made a post about it 7 months ago if you wanna read more into the details. But basically the thought was to do some gaming while curating and introducing other viewers to Steemit!

There is nowadays also a IRL section on Twitch where streamers can just casually do whatever they usually do on the PC and have others watch them to it - I know it doesn't sound all that exciting but its getting quite popular lately.

Anyway, to keep this post short and try and get some more people to check out my Stream, I thought I'd make this post for my followers. Bear in mind that the Twitch Channel is not really edited at all yet, I have quite a few neat ideas for it in the future so let's just call it a beta channel for now. :)

If you wanna check it out and stick around and chat with me and others there or on steemit.chat, here is a link to it:

Some Steemit users are also using the Stream to front-run my curation for increased curation rewards. ;)

Cya there! :)

Hello mate! I've just checked it out and it looks really very nice! I've sent you a message there!
See you soon!

@acidyo thanks for sharing
I've checked the links you mentioned in this post
very useful
but I am not perfect to operate the link you share it

So... I don't really think I'll watch you do just random steeming, but I gave you a follow anyways, because it's always nice to know some Steemians there :D

Do people actually watch others just browsing and such? I'm not too much into watching videos to begin with. They have to serve a purpose for me, informational that is. Let's play gaming videos aren't interesting to me, so I don't think watching others browse will be something I'm into. Think I'll just stick to the how-to's and such!

Twitch has expanded a lot lately, there are like "creative" sections where streamers jut draw/paint/make music, etc and even "IRL" section where they just sit in front of the PC and interact with their audience.

I guess being able to watch your favorite artists work on their pieces might be fun. Like someone who knows Photoshop's ins and outs! You can learn how they do what they do :-)

Yeah, its great for that! The site is getting quite popular!

I am just waiting for the flags to start so I can read the rants of angry plagiarists :)

:D finding plagiarists has been one of the main things on the stream so far!

I watched you type this. I feel so connected!

This is a really neat idea, man! Just gave you a follow and I'll pop in when I can while you do these :)

Cool! :D

Also, just a heads up for future Twitch streams in case you don't know, If you're playing any music with copyright protection on it they'll mute the audio on stream afterwards. So, anyone who wants to watch what happened who couldn't be there won't be able to hear shit.

Probably doesn't matter at all now, but if you're using a mic in the future to chat that way then you'll want to be careful :P

Hmm, that's weird. Does that happen even if you don't have ads or are partnered up with Twitch? Else I'll just start streaming on Youtube or hopefully on decentralized platforms soon. :D

Any copyrighted music that you don't have permission from the creator/owner to rebroadcast can possibly be muted in your past broadcast videos. Even if you do have permission, it'll get muted and you'd have to appeal it to get it unmuted, showing proof you have the rights to rebroadcast whatever copyrighted music you're playing.

Twitch is using a software that detects detects audio content, which is how it ends up muted. I don't believe it matters if you're partnered or not. I believe in one of my game streams like 30 seconds got muted because a song in the game was being played and it picked it up. So, while you're streaming now it's fine, but the video recorded afterwards might be messed up.

Ah alright, thanks for the info! I am recording this while streaming and probably uploading it to youtube just to have it there for fun. :D

No worries, mate!

Most Lucrative stream ever with curation snipes better hop in the hype train before he puts some 5 minute delay.

TIL you can change the delay!

Great to know , i feel like plagiarism needs to end , this platform is for the original creative content only

unoriginal people suck --- and we are outnumbered :)

Great idea, read your previous post too.
Question Who made your footer with this acid throwing cat? It's fantastic :P

It was @ocerkillcoin, can recommend :)

It says user not found, I guess there would be some spelling mistakes?

I added you on my follow list on Twitch (Belpunter)

You should have a look at https://www.gamingforgood.net/ if you want to enable donations and such. They are a good platform and support charity.

Myeah well, I know the person that runs it is a bit shady. :p

Athene is actually the only person I really follow on Twitch.
I know he's got a shady reputation and I totally understand why.
Talking for myself though, I can say that some of his insights had a huge positive impact in my life.

can i put my link for you check it out here acid ?

Best information @acidyo thank you buddy

Most Lucrative stream ever with curation kills better jump in the buildup prepare before he puts somewhere in the range deferral.

wonerfull idea , much creative skills you have sir, @acidyo, nice shots you taken, you r thinking right i support your words you are our leader as senior. thanks a lot.

Hi @acidyo, This is something long awaited. I haven't read your 7 months old article but I will do it now. Twitch seems fun so can't wait to use it. So, in a nutshell, it will be Steemit (current version) + gaming right? If it's so, Steemit will be more fun and more will join it.

This seems very cool and could be accepted from a person like you though I'm not saying that I don't respect the other gurus here at Steemit. (trust me! :D)

Thumbs up and Steem On!

Yeah, been thinking for now just to curate while streaming - but there are a lot of things that can be done at the same time. The goal is to introduce more gamers to the Steemit platform as well!

hmmm, I should finally start using twitch like... Right Now!

Thank You for making Steemit more fun. This intrigued me:

Some Steemit users are also using the Stream to front-run my curation for increased curation rewards. ;)

Please explain it.

They watch the stream and notice which post I am reading at the moment and will probably vote on, so they vote on it before me to receive higher curation rewards.

Your post gas always been phenomenonal @acidyo ...by the way your name is one of the coolest name i have ever heard....sounds like an super reactive element like name....i like your name # DOPE
