RE: Reinvent Yourself (free book giveaway)

in #story8 years ago (edited)

Aptly put.

I think like yourself I've travelled down the rabbit hole for a little too long whilst disregarding other aspects of my life. For you it was writing a novel, for me it was learning how to become a trader.

I don't necessarily need to reinvent myself, just rekindle other areas of my life and refocus on them. I think solo travelling will help with that for maybe a couple months this year. Always a blank slate when travelling, out of your comfort zone.

Thanks for this post, always nice to get a few nudges here and there. :)

Thank you, @wingz. What was so unbelievable to me was how deep you can go down that rabbit hole before you even realize. I'm glad trading was your escape. Solo traveling is a excellent idea. It really forces you to be resourceful and come out of your shell. What would be your top 3 travel destinations?

Well for me trading is the rabbit hole. I didn't quite realise the committment when I threw myself into it 100%.

I think number one would be somewhere in Argentina, learn some Spanish and salsa or something. Maybe invest in a few businesses.

Japan, for all the technology and their gaming bar crawls.

Finally Belgium, but as more of a visit rather than extended travel. Love the beers :)

I bet trading does take a lot of time. I've dabbled in it the last few months and have done okay but have a lot to learn! Japan would be amazing. I always wanted to see Kyoto. It sounds like you have some exciting goals!
