An employee at a garment factory.{part-22}

“I worked in a garment factory for six months. Let’s just say, it was not the best time of my life. I left that work with a bitter feeling and a lot of disappointment.

I used to work in the cutting department. While I was there, I constantly felt that the authority never took the workers seriously. Often, workers would be deprived off of very basic rights and allowances. They would marginalize workers who wanted to voice their rights and opinions. Soon after joining the workforce, I became one of the marginalized and suppressed ones. Because the authority did not feel comfortable dealing with workers who were able to voice their concerns and demand for their rights, they laid off a bunch of people. I was one of them.
