The body :- (A short horror story )

An old cemetery covered in rumors of
terror stood in a tiny, abandoned village
tucked away in the woods. The story of the body that must be was a
legend among the locals. Every century at midnight, a strange body was rumored to rise from the earth in
search of something it had lost in life.

One moonless night, Sarah, a daring and
inquisitive spirit, ventured to discover
the mysteries of the cemetery. She felt the weight of the darkness closing in around her as she strolled among the decaying tombstones with only a flickering lamp for guidance. A chill went through the air as the clock
reached twelve, and Sarah froze in fear as a figure started to appear in front of her. I
A corpse fighting its way out of the earth, its flesh rotting and eyes empty, was a
horrifying sight. With her heart racing, Sarah saw with
horror as the mutilated limbs of the zombie monstrosity surged towards her. She staggered back, desperate to get away, collapsing to the ground after tripping
over a fallen gravestone. But the body that had to be showed no mercy, its hollow eyes locked on Sarah as its skeletal hands reached out, determinedly and chillingly reaching for her. She could feel its cold touch encircling her and removing all of her warmth. Sarah screamed loudly enough to be
heard over the quiet night as she
struggled to
escape the creature's hold and ran as
quickly as she could.

Her legs were so weak they could carry her. However, the apparition of the body must have followed her everywhere she went, its eerie groans resonating through the night.

Ultimately, Sarah kept her terrifying experience to herself out of concern that people would write her story off as insane. However, she was aware of the reality deep down: the body must still be hiding somewhere in the darkness of that haunted graveyard, waiting to take its next victim. Thus, the mythology persisted, serving as a terrifying warning of the evil that waited to resurface beneath the surface of the world.
