Hello Steemians! Happy Sunday!! It’s a new week, and I’ll like to start a new short story series. I don’t know how many parts it will be, but I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I’ll enjoy writing it.

PS- I sort of wanted to do this December of 2017, even dropped the first one, but I had writers block. Well, let’s start again, shall we?

The cold bit into his skin, causing him to shiver and rub his hands together for warmth. Time was running out, they needed to get going. They had already spent more time than they should have... What was taking so long?!
He reached for the gun in his waist band, hoping he wouldn't have to use it. He didn’t think he would needed to though.
Footsteps coming his way made him reach for his gun, just as Temi was about to pull it out, Stinger and Onos jumped out the window and beckoned on him to follow not waiting to see if he did or not. Running after them and ignoring the cold air that cut into his skin through his thin shirt, he ran a good distance to their rendezvous point where Oga Denrele was waiting with the getaway car.
They all piled into the car, Onos was asked to drive while Denrele and Temi sat behind. "Oya! Show me wetin we don work comeout dis night" Denrele demanded. Stinger passed him the bag with it's unknown content. Temi waited with bated breath while Oga Denrele unzipped the bag and reached into it retrieving files and wads of cash.
Oga Denrele whooped and pumped his fists in the air. "Una try well well. Chai! Bros go happy finish.",he stated with a grin showing of his yellow teeth.
"Ehen! Temi, my boy, take this one, now you fit go hospital go give those yeye doctor dem dia money, so dat your sister go well sharp sharp!", he said while handing four wads of cash to Temi.
For the first time in the last 2 hours, he speaks up. "Bros, abeg you go fit drop me for hospital junction make I for reach dia quick?
Oga Denrele tells Onos to do just that then turns back to him,"See eh, anytime you need money or person come find your trouble, make sure say you come find me oh, you hear?" Temi nods and thanks him just as the car pulls up at the junction.
Just before he shuts the door, Oga Denrele calls out, ” Remember our appointment tomorrow, no fall my hand!

He gets out and jogs the rest of the way to the hospital. He walks to the entrance with shakey feet and for the first time in his fifteen years, he is filled with dread. He sends a quick prayer in desperation to whatever supreme being was listening and taking a deep breath to steel his nerves, he walks into the lobby.

That’s all for now. Please,

Hehehehe, this story is looking good!!! Cant wait for the next part.

🤞🏾🤞🏾

Don't stress yourself though, make it weekly, that way you have enough time to write the next chapters.

Got it. Thanks for the tip.
