RE: When the World We Know Fades Away

in #story2 years ago

There;s irrelevence to others, and irrelevence to yourself. I kind of like being irrelevent to some others. The pressure of living is greatly reduced.

the world we know fades away.

and we put another in its place. I am grateful I am no longer driven by the same notions I was driven by in my thirties and forties. More relief from pressure.

Cool poem, it has me thinking deeply about the here and now.

Thanks and great point about being irrelevant to some others! I notice that as we age we become somewhat invisible to a certain segment of the population. I'm kind of enjoying that too.

I do not often feel invisible, and I am closing in (incredibly) on 70. I think visibility is a function of personal self esteem. A stage performer knows they can become visible or invisible, even on stage, via a simple shift of personal energy. Disregarded is different from invisible, and we are often disregarded, but a little persistence helps there.
