The Rich Lady and the Painter

Long long ago in a certain place there lived a rich lady. One day she ordered a painter to paint her self-portrait. The painter started the work in right earnest and when it was finished he came to the lady and showed her the portrait. The lady asked her the pet dog to certify if the portrait was all perfect, by licking it. The dog smelt and examined the portrait but did not lick it. Seeing this the lady declared, “It is not flawless, you see. Please take it back and make it all perfect.” The painter promise to make necessary changes and told her that he would come the next day. The next day the painter again came to the lady with her portrait. The dog smelt the portrait and lick it again and again. The lady became very happy and purchased him a very high price. She thanked the painter for drawing such a nice portrait. The painter took the money and went away. How did all this happen? The painter had rubbed the painting with a piece of meat!
