At the time l did the rough sketches for the book. Eric Vance Walton and l had
self published a book called (IF I HAD THUMBS LIKE PEOPLE DO) about his cat named Miles. In book
Miles wished he had thumbs. Matter of fact we originally had the printing done for the book
and put the books together ourselves in paper back form which paid for our first trip to Chicago.

I think my daughter was five at the time or just turning
five and spoiled especially by her daddy. The story is about
a little girl who wants a certain toy at kids toy store and
her mother won’t buy it for her. Later on that evening
when she is in bed pouting a magical dragon who looks
half dog appears, then takes her to a far off land
where she sees children and adults who are happy
for what they have. It makes her realize how blessed
she is and true happiness can’t be measured by
material things.
We dedicated this book to my daughter.
