The World would be a lot better if 90% of families had $1 million to their name.

in #story7 years ago

Have you ever thought of how the world will be when 90% of all families had at least a million dollars to their name.

What I am driving at is simple. We take someone as wealthy as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Mark Cuban, Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos and the likes. These few mentioned people I believe have a net worth of more than $350 billion. Now that is a lot of money, right? The math says, if we were to distribute the wealth of these few aforementioned men to a couple of families around the world, 350,000 families would get $1 million each to their names. All I am saying is theoretical but let us take a look at what this can do for the world as a whole.

There is going to be a drastic decrease in poor healthcare.

Most people steal because of hunger and medicinal supplies. The world’s economy is dying and it is abundantly clear in most developing nations how people suffer because they do not have access to better healthcare. Imagine if a country such as this having 50 families worth $1 million or more, devoted to providing good healthcare to those who are truly suffering just in their country. Imagine how long it will take to solve these issues. Give it a year or two and this particular problem will be done for. It will give rise to many job opportunities in the country thereby employing most of the youth to use their time wisely.

It will curb corruption

The cancer present in every government body around the world is corruption and uprooting it will never be possible but curbing it however can be possible. If these families decide to use their wealth to solve issues faced by their nations, it will be hard for a third-party to step in. In the long run, all we as a nation want is development, right? So, how useful will the government be when the individuals start solving their own problems. There will eventually be no need for any government to oversee projects such as Educational Infrastructure, Banking and Finance or Healthcare. These are the major areas where millions of dollars get lost yearly because of poor management. However, if families were to be in charge of these sectors, it would very hard for corrupt officials to siphon money.

It will help create a better tomorrow.

There are millions of graduates out there in debt. It is very funny and sad at the same time. How come an individual about to wrestle with life; an unfair mistress, be bleeding before the fight begins. How do you expect to be victorious? Especially now that the Job market is not hiring as it used to. Now, imagine if these families built systems, paid in full their ward’s tuition fees and after graduation, these young adults have something waiting for them. Wouldn’t that decrease armed robbery or the number of drug dealers? Would that give these young fighters a fair shot at victory?

Now let's be real

Well, these are all wild thoughts running through my thick skull as I fantasize about the future. But let us get real. Financial education and personal development are the only things that may drive my theory into fruition but we live in a world where majority of people ignore it totally. What most people want is to live, raise a family and then die for the cycle to continue. If the wealth of the great men above are stripped and given to theses 350,000 families, it would literally take less than 5 years for it all to return to them. All because most of these families never dream too big.

The Solution?

It can be possible in the next 2 centuries if you and I decide to learn how to make money while sleeping, invest it, teach our children how to do it and when we are no more, the new cycle will continue and 2 centuries from now when our grand children are leaders of the world, they will rule the right way. It can be done.

Money,money,money...

Weed fashion

that's what School Boy Q says in Tinashe - 2 on , great song

He says "Money money money weed fashion"

the idea behind the title is great but I think it won't be possible. Well I guess not for now. Let's see what will happen for the next years now that blockchain and crypto is here!

A great piece ... but even if it is possible .. I do not know about that gigantic gimmicks.Really speaking ... how will the money be spread out in 90% using a corrupt government?

resteem

It is usually made clear that only 10% of the world's population live comfortably. My theory is what if 90% of families living on the planet had $1 million dollars to their name. It is just me thinking out loud. Thanks for passing by though and hey, the blockchain will deal with corruption in a few years to come

I would have been happy to upvote

I like it

@kwakumax based on just numbers and on paper you may be right, however

people are not poor because they do not have money. They are poor because of their state of mind.

The richest countries with natural resources have people living the lowest quality of life. This alone proves my point.
Have you heard of miliionaires kids who inherited great wealth and ended up on the streets homeless? pretty common

There is a lot more to wealth and good quality of life than just money. Wealth has to be managed and increased.
Bill Gates you mentioned did not inherit wealth. In the same time period in which he created, grew and has preserved wealth a lot of people could have done the same. To expect a hand out is the poverty mentality I am talking about that will always keep people poor and entitled even with a billion dollars in their hands.

I am very concerned ... because now a lot of civil society suffer because affected by the hunger ... because of the government now much that uses his post to extort money the community. Thanks for sharing.

its OK, technology is easibng world hunger, crypto is here, steem is here

@kwakumax great post, I ipvoted and Resteemed. Keep it up man!

Thanks man. I really appreciate it

The problem lies within our spending habits and remember, the government won't pay you enough to be comfortable. You have got to figure something out.

In a class , the student who get's A grade is only valuable because there are other who get B's and C's.

If everyone gets 1 million , you have basically made money worthless (or very very cheap) and you would have hyperinflation next morning . Things that cost 1 million today would cost 1 Billion tomorrow.

Hyperinflation : somethign inflated as much as Kanye's ego

First of all,not everyone but most families. There is no family comprising of just one person. Secondly, if things that costs $1million today gets to $1 billion, that would be the headache of those seeking luxurious lifestlye and not the poor child looking for food and water.

WOW! That would be interesting.

I am very concerned because currently many of civil society suffer because hunger, and government now much that uses his post to extort money the community. Thanks you very much for sharing with us.

wow.... nice post.... your thought is very good...

wow... what a a great piece ... but even if it were possible.. i don't know about that corruption curbing aspect.

Truthfully speaking .. how will the money be dispersed among these 90% using a corrupt government..

Congratulation kwakumax! Your post has appeared on the hot page after 3min with 6 votes.

Although it is an interesting utopian aspiration, the problem is that $1mil will not be as valuable as it is today.

That is why we need to get more people on board the crypto train. It has proven over years to be worth more as time passes

amazing ,love it

In the future, AI will take place, and people will get basic income to purchase products. We will just be consumers with few exceptions.

well, everybody has 1 mln dollars, it'll be equivalent to today's 1 dollar. Cuz if everybody knows everyone has 1 mln, businesses will charge you 1 mln times as much.

but if you hide your assets, that's different. you hide it on zcash or monero's blockchain, so that everyone still thinks wealth is still unequally distributed, everything will still run normally. And only then can poverty be solved this way.

Corruption cannot be eradicated completely. Even under the fear of the death penalty (such is the punishment in modern China) there are cases of its manifestation. But this does not mean that it does not need to be fought, it is necessary to create conditions for its rejection in society. Corruption hinders the economic development of the country. It harms both the state and society as a whole. The appropriation of budget funds to public servants diverts them from the process of creating economic benefits. Lobbying and bribery, artificially created administrative barriers and other corruption manifestations do not allow small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to develop their activities and bring economic benefits to the state, solve the problem of employment, meet the needs of citizens.

Yes I agree with your thoughts@kwakumax. Specially about the government and corruption because residing in a country like India makes me really thing deeply about these matters. Not only India but it's neighborhood countries are also the same and have done masters in corruption. So from my point of view I too support of making use of money and time wisely to secure our future generations.

Hey, i am glad you get the idea i am pushing across.

Yeah man just keep posting more initiative idea's

You're so on point.... Legit truth

Families do have 1 million to their names in certain countries where the currency has lost so much valuation than one million is like having 10 dollars.

We can all be Dogecoin millionaires.

We can all be Dogecoin millionaires.

lol. I sold all of mine

Anyways it's $1 million and it is the same every where in the world at the moment

The question is how much will that million buy... Who said the stores will keep prices the same? Who said people will go to work that day, week, month or year? Who will be at wallmart?

No i am not agree with regarding this because if all were rich then who will work for us.

People have kids and also robots plus rich people still work.. Theres always labor out there

Its correct but now there are lot of peoples that they work if the have enough money than they will not work. robot is something else

The world is moving at a pace that has never been seen before. The idea of people working for money is about to be driven into oblivion as projects like autonomous vehicles and AIs are being developed. What we should be concerned with is how we as humans can fit in this new world order where majority of labor will be done by robots.

This is sooo badddd

this one's a great idea, if we have millions in us, no one can be called poor or rich. all equal , all can afford

I do not agree with you there. A million if spent unwisely may make one poor but if spent well, would increase one's wealth. It is not about having but about what you will do with it that counts.

What you are preaching is Marxism, and history demonstrates the application of Marxism resulted in mass deaths, not only of the vilified rich but mostly the workers, peasants, and the poor. Conservative estimate of human deaths reach to 65 million globally, liquidated under the well-meaning idiots of atheist socialist utopia. It is quite shocking that Marxism continues to bewitch people, despite the irrefutable evidence of human experience. The "take from the rich and give to the poor" is a poorly constructed veneer for Envy.

Totally agree with you, but it's impossible :d
