RE: My Personal Thoughts on "Suicide Squad"

in #story7 years ago

I'm surprised you liked it, man. I thought all of their motivations were thin, and I can't help but think this is a veiled attempt by DC to capture some of that GotG thunder. Will Smith and El Diablo didn't play "bad guys", and they came off as even more sympathetic than most good guys out there. Considering this was a team of straight-up villains, I expected more betrayal and selfishness. Their backstories felt rushed, and the music really didn't mesh well with what they tried to do. It would've been better if they followed the plot of Batman: Assault on Arkham, as I feel like it's a far superior take on the team.
