Well that became hot and heavy quickly! I don't know what it is about Grayson. I can't seem to quite read him just yet. In one chapter, he seems like this reptillian sociopath, but here I feel like he genuinely cares for Ary. If he didn't, I don't think he would've taken care of her the way he did. Is this still part of a larger scheme? I don't think it is. Ary's way too lucky to have cracked his tough exterior. Far too lucky than Anna did with Jared, at least in terms of how quickly the walls came down.

Ah the finer nuances of this story. I can't tell you how tricky it is to keep that razor's edge, fine line with Grayson, but...there are definitely indicators that show there is a real being inside--however growing up brainwashed as he has...there will be a lot of denial too. This is only the beginning ;)
