As of Monday, London’s Big Ben will be under repair and will be silent until 2021. However, not all Londoners are happy about soon to be silent Ben. Big Ben is the pride of London’s culture - representing it’s majesty, beauty, and history of London. And how will Londoners know the start of news bulletins on the BBC, since it’s the bong of Big Ben that reminds them of this everyday?

Although, many people wear wristwatches to tell time, watches are also worn as a fashion statement or as a status symbol. Like Big Ben, a watch can represent the person’s idea of beauty, style, and even financial status in life. Nowadays, there are many different styles, color, and brands of watches to choose from. Sports watches to match your athletic clothing, to fine gold watches embedded with jewels to show off wealth, and even the choice of whimsical watches are expansive.

But, for those who don’t care to wear any watches, there is always the donkey. (This funny video never gets old)

Hey @jalai, I did not know this, what a shame on a quite night i can here Big Ben, I think it sounds quite majestic late at night. Not sure i'll be switching to jiggling Donkey balls though :)

Hi @res! Yes, I heard Big Ben will be silent due to health and safety concerns for the workers who will be repairing it. And, I certainly don't recommend jiggling donkey balls, lol;)

Makes sense on both counts :)
