I'm honestly sure that at the moment, this can already be equated with work or professional sports.
Many teams are winning millions of dollars and I believe that there are only new levels. Imagine if the shooters were in VR and it would be in the professional scene.
And imagine if soon there will be robots that can be controlled through vr.
I myself live in Ukraine and here it is not so highly developed that it comes to official work. But, our team, maybe someone knows :)

They made several million dollars for their organization.
I am very proud that there are such talents in my country.
The Dota 2 game alone has prize pools of tens of millions of dollars.
If you play such games, you can also become a professional in your field, the main thing is perseverance and zeal.
