My Story to America

Hi, my name is Ellie Walker, but my Russian name is Ludmilla Nikolaev and I was born in Petrozavodsk, Russia. Right when I was born I was placed into an orphanage because my mom was unstable to be a parent at the time. I also have a half sister named Ruslana who lived with my mom for awhile and then was placed into my Grandpa's care. I do not remember much being in the orphanage being that little. When I was 2 years old, strangers came and started holding me all the time and smiling at me. I was frightened and they kept coming back everyday, but as the days went on I started warming up to them more and more. There was one female and there was this other one that I haven't seen before, it looked pretty scary, but as they came back more and more I started enjoying him and seemed like a gentle man. A few days later my caretakers were packing all my stuff up and I was wondering where we were going, but then the two strangers picked me up and everyone was waving at me and I did not wanna leave all my friends and caretakers. I cried all the way out the door and then I was off to a new adventure. We took three forms of transportations: a car, train, and plane. On the train I slept most of the ride, but I did get sick during it. On the plane I clung onto my mom and when she had to go to the bathroom I would ball if she did not take me with her. The trip was vey long and I had no idea where I was going so it was new to me. We finally got to a place called Sioux Falls and there were people waiting there for us. I saw a man with a big bunny and I was just shocked on how big it was, but it was love at first sight. We drove to my new house where I was going to be living from now on. When we got there two boys were waiting for us and they were little like me so I thought new friends yay! As I got situated into my new home all I could think about is food and how hungry I was. So my new parents fed me oatmeal and I inhaled it and they gave me another bowl and I finished both within seconds. I was excited to be able to have a family now and start a life with them.
