I closed from work on this faithful day, on climbing down the staircase I saw a girl with swollen head, face and mouth. In fact, she looks like someone who just experienced jungle justice for ritual killing. That's the only description I could give it. At first I ran back because I couldn't behold what I saw. I have to summon up courage and walk up to her to know what happened. Behold, she was the landlady's house help and she was beaten for not completing her house chores. I sat down and wept my eyes out.
l took a video of her and went straight to my pastors Company. I played the video to anyone that I see until my pastor ask what it was because of the look on people's face and the screaming too. Immediately he put a call across to a female judge that he knows and she said she needs evidence. Of course we forwarded the video to her and by Monday police were all over the street looking for the girl. They hid the girl and the police left.
Thank God for women in authority who have the fear of God. She threatened the police and they came back for second missionary journey.
This time around, they came on casual wear and they were everywhere on the street.
Again I was done for the day's work and the car refuse to start. This good Samaritan came along to assist me and as luck will be on the girl's side, she was been smuggled back to the house. And the good Samaritan intercepted the girl and blew a whistle, more than 5 police men came out and landlady was arrested. The 15 yrs old house help was hospitalized for 4weeks.
To cut the long story short, l received a call this week from the Benin Republic. Lo and behold it was the girl calling and speaking English. The government of Nigeria handed her over to the government of Benin Republic after she was discharged from the hospital. The government of her state gave her scholarship. When she called she was able to explain everything that happened in the police station, hospital and court. As for the wicked landlady, she was arrested and detained for days. She was later granted bail on the condition that she remains in the country till the case was over. Let's be a voice to the voiceless especially to women and children who are in a helpless situation.IMAGES GOTTEN FROM THIS LINK AND NOT REAL IMAGES:https://www.google.com.ng/search?q=image+of+a+mercilessly+beaten+child&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjks9eIw9XZAhWTa8AKHcm2CssQsAQIJA&biw=911&bih=409O.
This is so brave of you. We all need to raise a voice against such height of wickedness and deludedness
sure
Gosh! People can be so wicked sha, some people see power as a tool to do and undo, why would you beat up an innocent kid just cos she didn't complete chores? That's completely outrageous, they wouldn't have granted her bail👿
You're really Godsent, thank you for helping her cos most people would have neglected her and act unconcerned.
i tells you
This is a very powerful job you did here. May God continue to bless you without measures and let all those who feel they have power to disrespect God in their own ways. Let them face the judgement. Weldone. Steemon!
Thanks
Very pathetic and very inhuman @diluck
