A new thread enters the tapestry as we get acquainted with Ndusen and his Chichewa-speaking family. There seems to be some tension between Kondwani and Stella. Ndusen's ignorance (real or pretended) of modern food inspection and marketing makes an interesting contrast with his exceptional — perhaps unique — knowledge of the building where he lives and works, and the people who live there. The story and its characters are developing deftly. I'll keep reading!
