ITOHAN POV

To any other person, the changes will never be noticed, but her father noticed it... The dreamy look, the secret smile, he felt a tug of fear and protectiveness towards her...

He knew the consequences following any wrong decision his beloved daughter would make... He felt so powerless and wished for the first time that her mother was close by so she could step in... He needed to talk to her, He needed to do something, oh God, and he prays silently, I need direction...

Chinedu woke up, it was indeed a very beautiful day, and yes! He remembers... He had a date with ITOHAN... Today he was going to propose to her, he was going to take the steps of making her his... Today he was going to be the happiest guy on earth... And even if they were quite young, he believed they were ready to take on the world...

He felt a little fear nudging at the back of his mind, he shrugs it off, and set about preparing to meet his queen
ITOHAN had this peace of mind, she felt so happy, so joyful, and it felt like a dream...

Growing up was not as fun for her as her dad thinks, she misses her mum, and was forced to grow up rather too quick to be a mother to her younger brother, her step mother was so mean in a very subtle way, and the other kids were just bullies, he only solace was her father, but he was seldom home, because of work...

So as she grew older she found another avenue to run into... Books!!... Reading made her forget her buried pain of missing her mum n sometimes her dad, it made her forget the surreal ghosts she sees everywhere wanting to talk to her... Reading brought her calmness... Then she met Chinedu... Mmmm... Chinedu, she smiles, he was her perfection, he was a gentleman, and he was her MAN!

The two young couples walked hand in hand in a reserved park, they were both so into each other, no one else matters... He couldn't get enough of her, neither could she, slowly but steadily, time sped by... They had snacks for lunch, and soon it was time to say goodbye, with sad faces, they did, he kissed her... And left

ITOHAN POV

She felt giddy with delight, she just simply wanted to dance and sing tell everyone what a wonderful world we live in... She saw flowers everywhere she went, her world was perfect... With all this feeling she walked home... Happy... Drunk in love

Later that night!!!

She was roused from a sweet sleep... Sure enough that was her father's voice calling her, she got up, and went to his room...

ITOHAN's dad looked at her as she got in... Like always between them, she sat at his feet, silently, but today he felt her uncomfortable, shifty, he smiled...

And very gently he asks he
What's going on daughter?

She looks down and is quiet, then slowly looked up, and says, nothing father, nothing i can't handle
He looks at her and for the next 30 minutes , he then slowly talked to her about a few things that is physically and spiritually embedded to her.

Later in her room, she was so restless... So confused... God, she was scared... And the voices around her weren't helping... Detail by detail her father's words sank in to her depths... She just couldn't shake off his words... She just couldn't....!!!!
