The egyptian king achieved immortality quick. Something all his people desired but seldom recieved. He made them sacrifice their mortality, he made them sweat and bleed. They built monuments for him to offer to the demon god's feet. Anubis was pleased, he brought a plague that razed the king's fleet. They passed through the underworld all neat and clean. But he had something special in store for the egyptian god king. Something he dove into the river Nile and retrieved. He returned with a phoenix and flew to the highest peak. He ordered Horus, the Sun god to burn its wings. As the flames scorched the bird black , its tears flowed down to the monument's banks. Phoenix tears harvested with blood, the most powerful antidote anyone could find. The lands healed the second they kissed the sand. Oh what a feat! Anubis the jackal collected the nektar in an ancient flask. He brought it first to the king for it was his honour, his wish. Alas he was late, he found the king weeping a river of his own, his beloved sons were dead. There was no kingdom to rule so how could he be king.
