Firstly I want to give thanks to God for the gift of life and to @michelle.gent for organizing this mentorship program for minnow like me
This is my story as an observer
A 20 years old boy called Augustine Samson @samson12, a Nigerian who hails from Enugu state, a Christian of Roman Catholic denomination and he his currently a medical student in one of the most prestigious University in Nigeria (University of Nigeria Nsukka)
Samson was brought up in a monogamous setting of 3 of which he is the second.
He was brought up in a godly way and has never departed .
During Samson's days of primary school, he was very playful to the extent that he doesn't have time for his book.
He loved playing football and was once the best player in his football team.
He was so playful up to the extent that he almost repeated a class(was promoted on trial) and then his parent sat him down and talked some words of wisdom into him by telling him a story, since since Samson changed and his dreams of playing football died
When Samson entered his senior high school he was among the top 10 students in the school, due to his academic Excellency, he was given a prefect and his parents were proud of him and told him he should go into the medical school that he was going to do well.
2014 January, Samson got into medical school at a very young age and was intimidated by seeing students read for 16hours at a stretch and he lost his self confidence because he could not read for a long period of time at a stretch.
Samson saving hand in medical school was that the had a mentor who helped him out in any difficult areas in the medical field.
Samson is still in the medical school because he got a mentor who mentored him about medical field.
Samson heard about steemit 2017 December but was not interested until he heard of his classmate that was on Steemit and asked the person what Steemit was all about, the person explained and Samson was interested and he joined early this year.
The person that introduced him, taught him the little she could and he has been struggling on Steemit.
He saw a post on steemit about "mentorship on story telling" and he was interested and he his writing his application letter because he knows the importance of mentorship.
Mentorship sustained him from failing out of medical school.
He knows that if he his been mentored on story telling, he his going to do well on story telling just like his grandmum used to tell him stories about dead.
Thank you for reading
Hey @samson12 - well done on your achievements so far. You seem to be an intelligent young man and you're obviously determined. Let's see how far you can go, shall we? :)

The wolf on top the mountain is not as hungry as the wolf trying to climb.
