Starting Line - Getting Ready for Successful Leadership

This chapter is focused not just on leadership, but on having Successful leadership. As Pastor Cesar Castellanos quote, "Whoever gives the best of himself to help others, prepares the way and make it easier for them to achieve success.

As leaders, we all desire success, but it needs corresponding work so that this desire will turn into results. Also being quoted that Marvin O.S. said that, "Success is not a Donation. It is a Conquest." No one can gain success by accident or by transfer of one person to another. Success requires us to go out from our comforts. Like a troupe of armed soldiers, leaving their families and loved ones, going out from their hometowns, just to win the battles they are about to fight. We, as leaders, should have that kind of mind, the Mind of Christ, the mind of a conqueror.
But before waging wars, preparations must first take place. As Manny Pacquiao conditions himself by practicing everyday for how many months, sacrificing his eating habits and a lot more just to win the fight, we should do the same; these are the following things we should consider:

The leader must be a dreamer. Our spiritual eyes have been opened by God as we allow Him to fill our hearts and mind with the vision. Being captured by the vision, we are talking about seeing things spiritually, things our physical eyes may not see. We should allow ourselves to practice these things, seeing situations in the realm of the spirit, in the realm of God.
Total Commitment. It is our duty to pursue that God-given dream. When you are committed, you begin to soak yourself and really work hard in advancing this dream. But hardwork alone is not enough, it must include strategic work
