365 days in 2018, these books will join the journey every day

2018 a new year is starting

A New Year is setting the counter of days to zero and we have 365 days to reach our goals. Every day is a step and can be filled with small tasks. For my self, I committed to the following three books which are organized by 365 days. Every day i will read a fraction which helps me to reach a maximum output with minimum input.

The Daily Stoic is the first book I committed myself for 2018. Inspired by Tim Ferris's TED talk I was getting curious about the Stoicism philosophy and found this book. It features a stoic wisdom for every day of the year and hopefully helps to get my mind sharpened during the whole year.

The first wisdom for 2018 from the book is by Epictetus:

"The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own" - Epictetus, Discourses, 2.5 4-5

The second book is Giant Steps by Tony Robbins. Even if it is an older book it provides the same structure of 356 lessons which I plan to incorporate into my daily routines.

The first idea for 2018 is:

We all have dreams... We all believe deeply that we have a purpose in life which helps us to make the world to a better place.

The third book is The Art of the Good Life from Rolf Dobelli. He uses a scientifically based approach to help taking better decisions and not making always the same stupid mistakes. Learn from others!

Learn about the overconfidence-effect, social proof and the sunken cost fallacy to be more successfull with your (crypto) investments!

I wish all of you to find peace of mind and be able to make the world a better place in 2018!

Interesting list. I already read one of the books - Dobelli.
Indeed thinking clearly when investing is an art and an algorithm which you can teach yourself. Dobelli bringst it as always to the point.
Looking forward to reading the other two and share my opinion on them.
