“My sponsor died alone in his apartment”.
The tale of a soul lost to this isolating disease. Both the disease and those that love them get enveloped into a societally imposed isolation. Cultivating a fiendish mentality that only slopes down from there. This is the slow death of stigma. You’re forced to lie and hide to get what you need, the blueprint of a behavior that will build the cell you might die in. Even if there are people around, there’s a good chance they will dump your body somewhere for someone not possessing drugs to find.
So many things that are legal but bad are deemed morally acceptable. I think we would be saving lives and preventing a lot of crime in the legalization of all illegal substance.
