RE: Steemit Has Humbled Me

in #stewardsofgondor7 years ago

Hi @goldendawne, kudos to you! I'm only 2 weeks old here in Steemit so I don't know much about what's going all around, but I've encountered a fair lot of users who went MIA already.

What you and your friends do for the community is awesome. Just wanted to say that. I know steemit is a crypto platform and investments play a huge role here, but it's really reassuring to see more people focusing on the community and blogging aspect :) More power to you and your vision. Thank you!

Ironic you say this...

I know steemit is a crypto platform and investments play a huge role here, but it's really reassuring to see more people focusing on the community and blogging aspect :

I came here for the writing and blogging platform... met some GREAT people and settled into some unbelievable groups and communities and my main focus still is on writing/blogging and interaction. The cryptocurrency is still a good benefit but not, or ever has been, my main focus.

And yes, sad to see people rush here then leave just as quick when they realize it is work and not a "get-rich-quick" deal. Guess that's the easy way to weed out some.

Yeah, that's what I'm discovering too. I got my homies now. Great people to be around with and learn things from.

I was thinking about the system too when it comes to blogging. Some aspiring bloggers sometimes lose heart when their blogs don't get noticed for a long while. And this happens because their content is buried deep by users with huge voting power or investments.

So I appreciate it that some people like you take time to curate and read other people's posts. My community role models does that too so I see a bright future for aspiring writers here in steemit.

Yes this does tend to happy... people want and expect instant gratification but it doesn't happen immediately. But over time and with persistence, it does. It happened that way for me.

Persistence is a lesson for me to learn indeed. Thank you for taking time to discuss your thoughts and experiences. It's a pleasant revelation.
once again, thanks for curating.
