I think just because it has promising anti-inflammatory effects in animals doens't mean it works also for humans.If we lack researchs then the reverse effects outweigh the benefits especially cuz we do have other medications for pain and inflammation.
It's just my opinion but i think this practice is totally useless unless we find some really good benefits in future studies

And studies have virtually ceased because the available anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs seem to suit us just fine. Although interests might be renewed if there are claims of the presence of antibiotics in the venom due to the trend of resistance to conventional antibiotics by bacteria.
