Seeking Wisdom: USB w/ Chromebook Linux Apps

in #stemgeeks5 years ago

Calling all fellow #steemgeeks:

I seek your wisdom! If you're a #stemgeek and have a Chromebook, then you probably know that one of its most innovative features is the ability to rock the terminal and run Linux apps under the hood of your ChromeOS.

Where I seek knowledge: USB-C interaction

Is there a way to enable use of my USB-C jack for Linux apps, e.g. using a Ledger Nano S with a Brave Browser desktop app or NEON "Neo" wallet app, or a YubiKey for MFA? These features work fine in the default Chrome browser on my Pixel Slate, but not the Linux apps.

Too soon?

Is this just a matter of waiting for Google to enable such features, or have any of you come across a script to manually enable such features?
