So cool, I've never heard of a negative carbon footprint.
A compost pile is of creat importance at our new house when we move in a few weeks. How long does it take for the leftovers to be for to be worked into your soil?

Depends what compost method you use, some can make soil in about 2 months with lots of turning, other "set it and forget it" methods require much longer to break down
Is it not a good practice to put scraps directly in/onto the soil where your plants are?
