THE GREAT WAVE
A great wall of water
is ready to invade,
crumbling as it falls
from above the white-tipped peaks
of the watery mountains
to the unsuspecting valleys.
But time stands still;
it never falls
and the men in the boats
are trapped forever
in a moment of fear.

Yes, frozen in time! In those days they would not have had advanced weather information about rogue waves or tsunamis!
This poem reminded me of the stillness before of a tsunami, when the water level drops.
I think maybe that's what the image is about, and what I was thinking!
