Great work mate! Let me test ..
Works well , how often would it refresh if ever?
Would be better if it filtered your own username out
Depressing, but not your fault :P
Best idea - get external tweet images working and I'd love to use this for @steemleak reports.
What are your feelings on automated use of these ? If I needed to grab say 100 tweet images, batch image process and rehost them elsewhere would you care ?
Keep up the good work mate :)
I'm in 2 minds about filtering out your own username... once half says sure and the other half says keep it's integrity - but since this is specifically a shout out tool I think your right. I'll sort it on my next commit. It works for images on twitter i.e.
but not for the "card" previews (note the white space below)..
Your welcome to, it's why I made the tool. I'd be keen to see how it handles... I'm still running on a free heroku dyno and to be honest I was suprised the tweet tool ran at all but it seems all right. If it takes off I'll shift it onto one of my production machines.
FYI - I'm sure i'll have the remote links rendering in the next few days. Oh and it will render everytime the url is called as for it refreshing on steemit I have no clue... img1.steemit.com is currently my mortal enemy
Awesome stuff thankyou :)
Update: Shoutouts now ignore your votes and tweets render remote content i.e.
Downside is theres an extra 2.5 seconds on the load time. Twitter renders them in obscured iframes that they have intentionally made very difficult to access so I literally just set a timeout and pray that they rendered. Works for now.
