I've also found the commenting to be rewarding, in conversation and in SBD/Steempower. I try to use my voting power because that's how the platform was built and is obviously an important function in the ecosystem. I love that we're all adding value to the platform just by discussing this and exploring and upvoting/commenting on our interests
