I'm confused.....surely there was a development roadmap that took Steemit to this point. So having a roadmap is clearly not the issue. Given that Steemit.inc controls the Steemit account, surely Steemit.inc is responsible for the roadmap because it has most of the power and funds....along with the majority of expertise and incentives (though with community input.) Steemit.inc were funding contributors to Busy....obviously considered a natural and valuable part of the roadmap for the steem platform. Surely just come up with a set of sensible goals for Steem development and marketing.....show the community and galvanize everyone to get there. If there's something in the roadmap that is perceived to be a problem, it can be discussed and adjusted. I'm sure there is plenty of low-hanging fruit that everyone can get behind without contention.
If that is not the way, then burn the entire steemit.inc account (minus whatever stake is fair for everything already accomplished by steemit.inc...though most of the key players have the largest individual accounts ) or use it to massively escalate steem distribution both to those already contributing and to bringing more people into steem who can continue building.
I'd appreciate a post from Dan or Ned explicitly talking about the issues here. I'm probably missing something as usual.
I love it... as satire.
From
"who will build the roads"
to
"who will build the roadmaps"
I appreciate the satire in the post....the question is, why is it necessary. There does seem to be an issue with producing roads or cars. The question is why? That's what I'm trying to address.
