Hello steemians fellow, now we'll discuss about Quantum Mechanism and the topic is 'Photoelectric Effect '.
Did you know! what is this effect???
Okay, I can explain it in the simple way.
Photoelectric Effect :-
When frequency of light greater than threshold frequency fall on a metal surface, electrons are emitted out from metal surface this effect is known as photoelectric effect.
Now we'll discuss about ' Laws of Photoelectric Effect '.
Laws of Photoelectric Effect :-
- The rate of photoemission is directly proportional to the intensity of incident radiations.
- The velocity (kinetic energy) of emitted photon depends upon frequency of incoming photon.
- The energy of emitted electron is independent of intensity of incoming photon.
- There is no time lag between incident photon and emission of electron.
Photoelectric Equation:-
Energy of incident photon = work function + kinetic energy of electron
Good job bro🖒🖒🖒
