A nice analysis, @bssman! My only suggestion is that Slackware deserves a mention for its historical influence, if not for the fact of it being the oldest supported Linux release still out there.
Not including Minux , Slackware gave me my first Un*x experience.
Yes, you are right i should have included Slackware. I just didn't think it was still supported.
