When depression occurs? I will write a few stories from my personal casuistry
"At home it was not a quiet environment, with my family, my stepfather was an arrogant who do not supported me and my little sister, my mother was very in love with him. It was during the collage session, law school is a tough one, and I could not concentrate to learn, the pressure was so big on my shoulders, but the pressure came from me, because I wanted to leave the house ... I could not pass a few exams and I broke down, I did not knew what I wanted the most: to finish college and find a better paid job or simply get out of the house ... " - A.C.
"Being a navigator sometimes I find myself in situations out of control. I have changed the company and the ship had. I had come on a ship 2 times lower than the one I was used for three years, was totally different room, the bathroom was very dirty, infected, but these where not the reasons to blame for my condition, but seasickness. 24 hours I vomited and I was feeling very bad, I wanted to throw myself into the sea, I thought that I have a wife at home waiting for me, that saved me. I cried like I never cried before, the money mattered no more, just my health that I could not control. " - A.A.
"Being in a relationship usually makes you happy, brings you comfort and moments of pleasure, having a very well paid job, an expensive car, could give you an awesome state of mind, but this did not happened. I was in a relationship that I could not escape from, a car, a BMW that was useful only as a place to cry, to hide from the world, the money to pay the hospital services because I was all the time at the emergency room. All the money in the world could not cure my "sickness" - I was trapped in a bad relationship and scared to get out of it."
When a moment appears when you feel like a withered flower, you have to act for you! To "fix" the state, to solve the problems, to express yourself in a free way with whom you trust.
Depression is petty, it might surprise you thinking for a moment that maybe is only melancholy or unmet. Everything starts at a point where your self esteem is low, something you can not solve, it stresses the thought that you can not control something, not realizing who you really are and see everything dramatically without likely came ashore.
Depression seen from the point of view physically and psychologically
Among the most common psychiatric disorders that may influence physical symptoms of stress include certain conditions and disorders related to depression and anxiety.
📌 The main element of depression is depressed mood, sad, for no apparent reason, present most of the time. In pediatric patients, this condition may be irritable rather than sad.
📌 The person suffering from depression feel sad, hopeless, discouraged, powerless, "reluctantly".
📌 It can also be manifested in a marked decrease of interest or pleasure in all, or nearly all activities. All fields can be affected.
📌 Some reports that are no longer interested in hobbies, activities that previously they considered pleasurable, fun.
📌 Withdraw socially and neglect increasingly more common activities that were previously considered pleasant.
For example: do not go to the movies, shopping, do not read, no longer with the kids, do not go to court, etc.
📌 Change in body weight of more than 5% in any month is a symptom usually ignored can be a significant weight loss (though not keep any diet) or a significant increase in weight.
📌 The appetite is usually low, but some people may have an increased appetite, sometimes leaning towards certain foods, such as sweets.
May occur changes in motor behavior: psychomotor agitation or retardation.
Agitation is manifested by an inability to sit still, calm, walking here and there, hands kneading, rubbing clothes etc. Psychomotor slowness, thought or body movements.
Fatigue or lack of energy and dominate ability to motivate the depressed - even the smallest tasks seem to require considerable effort.
🗯 Depressed people complain especially of memory or concentration problems even performing easy tasks, powered by diminished ability to think, concentrate or make decisions.
🗯 Negative thoughts of death or suicide occur frequently in people with depression may be ideas and transitional 1-2 minutes until real plans to commit suicide.
Globally, about one million people commit suicide each year, and a significant percentage of them suffer from depression.
Moreover, for every person who commits suicide, there are 20 or more who have attempted suicide.
Note other symptoms:
🛑 headache;
🛑 stomach pain;
🛑 joint pain;
🛑 anxiety;
🛑 panic attacks;
🛑 excessive concern for their own physical health;
🛑 difficulties in intimate relationships;
🛑 phobias;
🛑 decreased libido;
🛑 abuse alcohol or other substances.
In a world where stress, fatigue, accelerated pace of daily activities are felt increasingly more, meet more often with the phenomenon of somatization, which in general terms is creating or aggravating, physical, somatic, under the influence emotional factors or stress.
Physical response of the organism under stress conditions may resemble a somatic disease, without this can always be identified by the skilled investigation.
Pay attention to health issues if you are a more sensitive person.
Many times it may happen that a sharp and prolonged state of fatigue, mental tension accumulated or lack of rest to favor the emergence of symptoms both physical and mental.
Going to the psychotherapist is therefore important when you notice any change in your condition both physically and mentally to do the following:
✔ Try to identify changes experienced by your body.
✔ Ask family or close relatives if they have noticed some changes that you may have noticed.
✔ Ask your GP to refer you to a specialist suitable for investigating medical issues
✔ Go to a psychiatric assessment in order to discuss about the mental illness that you have and to receive medical information from a professional, and to receive, if necessary, specific treatment for your mental disorder.
✔ Remember that any lasting psychic conflict can lead to severe medical illness, sometimes irreversible.

At least now the importance of talking about our mental health has become mainstream. Life can be really tough and it's important to help each other with support.
Life is tough...rough...we work for money, use the money to pay for food to live more ... but we hardly stop and do something for us ... it's time for everybody to know that depression is a real problem and it can be fixed if we just talk.
Yes, depression is a very widespread phenomenon in our modern world. It's important to fight correctly with it and treat properly those people who are suffering from depression. Good post.
