RE: Amazing creatures, the Scorpion. (A bunch of surprises)

in #steemstem7 years ago (edited)

Nice article. I was once bit by an emperor scorpion. It was a worst feeling. I was hospitalized for a day and it happened during a trek. I almost fainted before reaching the hospital. I still remember how I felt when I was bitten. My consciousness was diminishing little by little.

Though I came out of the hospital in just one day, I took me more than a month to fully recover. The bite almost drained all my energy and weakened me for more than a month. I had vomiting sensations for over a month. Though it happened many years back, by reading your article I was able to recollect all those memories back. 😀😁

Sort:

My mom got bit by a brown bark scorpion when they were moving stones. I got stung by beees. I don't know which one is worse but I didn't faint. My mom didn't faint. She only had a swollen finger and put ice on it so she didn't go to the doctor.

That must be a really bad scorpion. How did it get to you and bite you?

whaaaat? i'm sorry to read about that terrible experience, it must have been a very bad moment. I have never been bitten by a scorpion but, i'm happy to know yo're fine. Thank you for sharing this experience with me and the community.

Yes but nothing to worry. But people in my locality say that when bit by some creatures like this, a good resistance is developed in the body. It is something like a natural vaccination. But not sure to what extent this is true. :)

Actually, with almost every kind of venom, your body generates antibodies for his own protection, so, if you are bitten by a snake and survive, that specific venom will not affect you never again. The same principle should apply to your experience.

Yes. I have also heard about this. But I cant say that now I really don't care about scorpion bite. ;) But it can be true that I can survive another bite without any effect of the venom.

Good for you!! jajaj have a nice day!

Hmmmn, i have heard things like this, but how do the body develop good resistance

Sorry about that, thank God you are fine

Ya its Okay. It was an experience after all. But one thing I regret even today is that my friends who came with me killed the Scorpion. We should have left it without killing. That's what I feel. It was dark, I kept my leg on him or near him so he bit me. Not his mistake at all. But my friends were afraid and momentarily they killed the scorpion.
