Hi Steemians
It's another beautiful day. Thanks to Almighty for keeping us all alive(The Gift of Life is what am Grateful for).
BREASTMILK is one essential Brain Booster gotten from mothers through BREASTFEEDING or NURSING immediately from the hour of birth to a specified recommended age usually readily available everyday or night serving as (all but not limited to) food, ideal nutrition, block builders of protein, virus and bacteria fighter etc. for infants and young children
BREASTMILK is very beneficial to infants and young children because of its compositions and naturalism. It contains anti-bodies which helps to fight viruses, bacteria and reduce infants risk of having ear infections, diarrhea, respiratory system and other harmful diseases. It distance infants and young children from hospitalization and frequently visiting doctors. It support babies growth and development as it contains all what infants needs to grow strong and healthy. The American Academy of Pediatrics confirmed that BREASTMILK is preferred for infant for a period of at least One year(12 months). It boost infants and young children IQ in their later years after and makes them perform well in learning and acquisition of knowledge. They tend to grab what they are taught very fast and have active and Sharp Working Brain.
BREASTMILK contain lots of useful substances which are perfect source of Nourishment for growing babies and young children, They are:
- DOCASAHEXAENOIC ACID
- Cholesterol
- Lactose
But the key ingredient in breast milk is the DOCASAHEXAENOIC ACID(DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid, it's a Brain Boosting Fat. This fat maintain brain tissues and assist the growth and development of the brain. There's a genuine intellectual differences between children that are breastfed and children placed on formula feeding because of the difference in their level of DHA intake.
Education and awareness has helped some mothers know the advantages of breastfeeding their babies for long, because DHA is highly concentrated in children that are breastfed for long and this mothers because of the care and love for their children, by all means increase their intake of food rich in DHA , Examples of food that are highly rich in DHA are FISH most especially the Salmon and Tuna Fish. This DHA consumption is not only beneficial to babies through breastfeeding but also beneficial to the Nursing mothers.
For healthy growth and development in infants and young children, it is advisable for mothers to make their decision faster before child-birth, and discuss with their doctor whether they want to breastfeed their babies or use Formula Feeding. It is not always easy to switch from Formula feeding to breastfeeding when the baby is used to Formula feeding from birth. This can open the baby to some many risk leading to frequent hospitalization and visit to the doctor
CHOLESTEROL is another fat needed for optimum Brain development and it is contained in the breast milk which makes breastfed infants get enough cholesterol for producing more nerve tissues in the growing brains of babies and young children even though Low level of cholesterol is good for adults.
The human milk(breast milk) is highly rich in Lactose and Anthropologists have made it known that the intelligence of any mammalian animal depends on the level of Lactose in the milk they are breastfed with, this Lactose is easily break down by the body into two sugars i.e. glucose and Galactose. Galactose is a very useful nutrient in Brain tissue Development.
Breastfeeding is one of the most essential Brain Booster in Human Life and Nursing Mothers can also increase the supply of Breastfeeding.

Hi! WHO indicates at least 2 years old, and then for as long as the mother and child wants. Here is a link of the WHO recommendation:
