The Wisconsin Badgers live to fight another day! In a Big Ten Conference Tournament game today, it was win or go home for Wisconsin and Maryland. It was a low scoring and defensive slug fest and the Badgers had just enough to come out on top 59-54.
Ethan Happ led the way for Wisconsin, which should be a surprise to no one. Happ had 14 points and 7 rebounds. The junior forward will have to carry this team on his broad shoulders if they want to keep their season alive.
It was a tough day shooting for both teams from the field and from downtown. Maryland actually got some great play from Huerter, Cowan Jr., and Fernando. But the rest of the team only scored 6 combined points. For the most part, the season is now over for the Terrapins. They have no hope at being an at large team in the NCAA Tournament. Maryland might get invited to the NIT or the CBI but those tournaments are essentially just for the rejects of March Madness.
The Wisconsin Badgers will now face the top seeded Michigan State Spartans on Friday morning. This will be a very difficult task. Ethan Happ will have to have the best game of his career. But you never know what can happen!

Nice post
Big Badger fan, thanks for the recap - it was a fun game to watch! Still weird that the Big 10 Tournament is happening so early this year, but glad that Bucky has lived to fight another day. They get Sparty again - and almost took them out in Madison this past Sunday, so ya never know! Should be a good one
