The Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros do battle tonight in the Sunday Night Baseball Game of the Week! First pitch is scheduled for 6:38pm and can be seen on National Television on ESPN. It will take place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The Astros are heavy favorites at -170 and the over/under is 7.5 points. The Astros are up 2 games to 1 in the 4 game weekend series.

The Red Sox are having one of their best regular seasons ever so far. They have a record of 40-19 and are looking like a heavy favorite to make the World Series this year. But there is one tiny problem. Their most hated rival, the New York Yankees, have an even better record and are in first place by a half game in the AL East.
Tonight, the Red Sox will send Rick Porcello to the mound. He is having a solid year and is 7-2 with an ERA of 3.65.
The bats for Boston have been hot and they are first in the MLB in runs scored and second in home runs. They will have their hands full tonight though against the Astros outstanding pitching staf.

Charlie Morton will head to the mound for the Astros. Morton is a perfect 7-0 this year and his ERA is very impressive at 2.26. He is a big part for their 37-23 record that has them tied for first in the AL West with Seattle.
The Astros are 3rd in the MLB in runs per game but their pitching stats are even better. The lead the league in ERA, Batting Average Against, and WHIP.
Tonight’s game should be a good old fashion pitchers duel. But if either starter struggles, there is plenty of pop on both sides to take advantage and put up some runs.
