December 30th brings us the eve of a new year in 2018, and it brings us one last event to mark of a memorable span of fights and finishes in the UFC organization. UFC 219 not only brings us one of the best men's lightweight contenders in Khabib Numragomedev, but provides fans with an incredible womens fight.
Holly Holm is most known for her late 2015 destruction of former all time champion Ronda Rousey. A single head kick after a round of slick counter striking put down the former legend who had never tasted defeat....and had never even been close to being finished. Holly Holm as a true contender was realized that night in Australia.

Cris Cyborg is the mixed martial arts veteran known for her deadly power and relentless aggression since the early 2000s. She has been a feared woman her whole career, and she has been avoided to say the least. Cyborg in the UFC is still unbeknownst to most 'mma' fans, and that is a true shame.
The women's featherweight division was in essence but for this woman, and at 145 pounds there isn't another girl who can match her strength and the lethality of her skills. The boxing she has worked with gold medalist Claressa Shields has made her an even more frightening beast than she was before.

The combination of hand speed, patience, muscle structure and a ferocity she was born with make Cris without a doubt the most dangerous woman on Earth. A muay thai expert with a black belt in jiu jitsu, Cris is a nightmare anywhere the fight goes, and she is just about willing to go everywhere.
We should expect to see fireworks in this 5 round main event, and I would bet my life savings we won't need the judges observations to count for the fight...this one will end before the final bell. Cyborg doesn't know how not to finish, but Holly is a very dangerous woman herself...we will just have to wait to see how this incredible fight unfolds.

Great fight, yes probably don't need 5 rounds, Cyborg is always aggresive and try to finish the opponent but Holly might give her a surprise kick to the head

Cyborg will eat that kick haha!

Cyborg is really like a cyborg :)), it will be fun to wach that fight, 2 woman that like to keep it standing and throw punches

Cyborg has lost in kickboxing and that makes it a bit more dangerous for her against Holm. Pressure would be her friend in this fight as well as securing takedowns and working for a submission finish over getting a KO/TKO. Holm is dangerous to strike with and if they clinch and break, that's where she likes to land that lead leg head kick with their hands are down coming off the break.

I think Cyborg might prove too strong for her if she tries to press forward. That along with the holes in Holm's submission defense could make it her fight to win. It certainly makes for an interesting fight that I feel a lot of fans are sleeping on.

Definitely!

I love Cris but maybe if Holly plays her cards right she can once again surprise the world and win the 145 title. Holly has fast feat and can move to the sides as opposed to the other contenders we have seen Cris fight recently that seem to want to stand up in front of her and brawl.

Cris is strong... but I bet you that Holly has a good chin. I bet you she can take those punches from Cris. But if Cris takes the fight to the floor... then Holly could be in trouble.

I think they are both two of the most strongest female fighters in the UFC and I can't wait for this fight December 30th!

I don't even like this kind of fighting, but I may watch this one.

Cyborg has not lost since her professional debut in 2005 and this is not going to be an exception. I believe 30th of December is her day. Holm is known for her temerity too but Cyborg has an upper hand in the bout. #OWB

Her face alone is scary

"I truly feel that is one of, if not the biggest, female fights they can promote. I'm not in it for the priority of money, but I value myself. My biggest passion is about the fight itself, but this is my career and anybody looking out for their career is looking at the facts. This is a huge fight and I'm sure everybody around it, the promotion, is going to make money. So, I would expect more money."
