El Clasico Preview: Madrid in dire need of a win over great rival Barcelona

At the beginning of this season, Barcelona took on Real Madrid over two legs, they had just been forced to sell off Neymar and seemed unable to lure any players to the beautiful Catalan city.
This was a club in crises, reeling from an unending cycle of bad press and high profile failures in the transfer market. It came to few as a shock when over the two legs of the Spanish super cup they lost an aggregate of 5-1.

It was total humiliation, many even forecastid that their season was over, many looked at their manager choice; Ernesto Valverde, he had no experience managing a big club and seemed overwhelmed by the task at hand.
But how time changes everything. Barcelona has swept to a 6 points league at the top of the La Liga table and remain the only Club in Europe's top 5 leagues unbeaten in all competitions.
In La Liga in 16 games, they've won 13, lost none and drawn 3. Madrid in contrast have lost 2 drawn 4 and won only 9, leaving them a staggering 11 points behind their great rivals, whilst with game in hand.
When you also consider the fact that Madrid lost away and drew at home to Tottenham Hotspurs in the Champions League, consigning them to a 2nd place finish. Now they have been drawn to face a supremely talented PSG side in the Champions League quarter finals, this season is on the brink of collapsing all around them.

Anything less than a win tomorrow against Barcelona will consign the to an 11 points difference between them and the Catalan Giants, a loss will make them 14 points behind Barcelona, a realistically unassailable gap in the Liga.
But if they can not get the job done tomorrow then any hope of winning La Liga would be lost and the odds of winning a 3rd consecutive European title look bleak at best at the moment. However, a win tomorrow and things don't look so bleak, suddenly they would find themselves 8 points behind Barça with a game in hand, winning that game puts them within 5 points of La Liga. Winning tomorrow would be the first step toward getting their season which once showed great promise back on track.
Confidence must be high in the Madrid Camp after lifting a 3rd club world cup title in 4 years just last week. Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @feekayo

I agree with you after tomorrow's game will see if Madrid fights for the title

Mother of the matches ( Barcelona vs realmadrid)

Sure Madrid will win

hey I had read review from someone @raj2017 as well but for you 10 out of 10 points

fc barcelona over real madrid

anything can happen in this match

Real Madrid win (2-1)

Today is the day, It's almost here. I really want to watch the game, although I'm a PL and a Liverpool fan.

But... My prediction is a lame draw... Real Madrid isn't playing well and Barcelona is erratic sometimes. I don't know what's happening with spanish football, but this year, Valencia is the prettiest team in the pitch.

I'd love to watch a pretty match tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong with my prediction.

The El Clasico is really going to be fierce and Real Madrid should make sure they get all the three points in the game. Barcelona has a upper hand in the game due to their 24-match unbeaten run so far and with a rumored injured Cristiano Ronaldo of Madrid. It promises to be a thrilling encounter. #OWB
