Brazilian national team coach, Tite announced 23 names to be brought to the World Cup 2018 in Russia, Monday (14/05/2018) evening local time. Neymar is one of the names on the list.
Neymar - who has just recovered from a long injury - became one of the important players that Tite will take to the Red Bear State. Although not playing in the last few games of his club due to injury, Tite believes the former Barcelona star will play an important role for Team Samba.
Reported by Dailymail, Brazilian national team doctor Rodrigo Lamar said in a press conference session, he has done a number of tests against Neymar and the results are positive.
"This is the last stage of Neymar's healing period, he can follow the training session as soon as possible and will play in some friendly matches," said Lamar.
Meanwhile, Tite said the decisions he had taken were absolute and he believed Neymar would have a big impact on his team.
"We will be stronger with Neymar, but for him to do that, the whole team must also be good," he said.
He also added that players who will fill the position of the middle attacker in his team will be played by Manchester City player, Gabriel Jesus.
"Initially, Gabriel Jesus is our core player (in the center forward position) but Roberto Firmino will compete for that position," Tite said.
Meanwhile, veteran defender Dani Alves was suspended from the squad following a knee ligament injury he suffered. Position will likely be filled former Real Madrid defender, Danilo.
