In the 2016-2017 season, Keita became a pillar in the RB Leipzig midfield who was ranked second Bundesliga. The 22-year-old made 31 appearances and scored eight goals in the Bundesliga.
No wonder the Reds immediately bid to Leipzig to get Keita's service. However, Leipzig did not want to remove the player because Liverpool's bid is considered too cheap.
Even the latest news mentions, Leipzig turned down offers from clubs who want to buy Keita. They believe, defending the star players will make the team achieve more success next season.
"We will not sell star players this summer, any money will not change our position," said Leipzig's Sports Director Ralf Rangnick as quoted by Mirror.
"It's normal that many other clubs like Liverpool are interested in our players but I do not think that will affect the club's policies."
In addition to Ralf Rangnick, RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, also insisted no intention to release Naby Keita to other clubs including Liverpool. In fact, Mintzlaff admitted bored with the rumors of the departure of 22-year player from Red Bull Arena.
