Silver Haired Gamma Poured Silver

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago (edited)

Good afternoon, Steemians!

Today I wanted to tell a short story of when I began to hit a 10 ounce NTR silver bar with a hammer. I don't know why, but I was very interested in reshaping a big hunk of silver. I had been watching a lot of YouTubers in the silver stacking community. There were some big silver pourers in the community at that time as well.

Well, I banged the crap out of that 10 ounce bar and it was so dense that I really didn't think I was going to be able to hit it any harder and make any sort of change. I decided to get in contact with Silver Haired Gamma, since I saw she had been pouring some silver in her videos. I asked if she might pour some things for me with the 10 ounce bar since it was in bad shape. She said sure, so I sent it to her.

It took a couple weeks, but she melted the bar down and poured it into the things you're about to see. She told me she actually had to use some of her own silver to add to my silver because she was afraid it wasn't going to equal 10 ounces. I told her not to worry about it, but being the good person that she is, she did it anyway.

Anyway, these are those pieces that she melted down from that 10 ounce bar.

I was the one who stamped the weight into the back of each piece, as I wanted to quickly know how much each piece weighed. Thanks Gamma for what you did for me that time, I really appreciate it. You pushed me into pouring my own silver, which was an experience that I'll never forget! I haven't heard or seen from Gamma in a while, so I hope she's doing alright. I miss seeing her videos now and again.

I hope you enjoyed this post, Steemians! Thanks for stopping by!

Such a great collection of silver you have here you must have a little bit of money tied up in it all 😊

You have done some great and funky designs and I look forward to seeing more sparkling silver from you

Thank you! That's nice to hear.

Very cool pieces! I really want to get into pouring silver but every time I have the money to get some equipment and supplies I end up ordering pours off of someone else 😂 I've been working on some wax carving for one pourer though and I've been learning a ton about the process from him, so I'm not sitting still on the hope of pouring and I'm doing my best to contribute. Cool post, thanks for sharing with us!

Ahhh there is always a reason to put it off! Your time will come! The wax carving aounds cool, I wish you luck with it!

Thank you very much, my friend! I hope to record an update video about my experience with it soon!

Love those poured pieces, she did a great job. That`s likely way better than your hammered ten ounce bar.

that skull piece is really cool, i like Gammas pumkin heads that she does too :)

I don't know if I've seen those :)

they were when she started for halloween, there was a cool zombie head too :)

Great collection I love the acorn

Me too! And the skull! Those two are great :)

Gammas a legend. I too haven't seen a vid from her in awhile. I only have one question..why would u got a bar with a hammer? Lol

Are you sure you mean "got a bar with a hammer"? I think you meant to type "hit" but maybe since the the keys are close you typed "got" lol... either than or your phone like autocorrected you but in a bad way.. Hmm why would I got a bar with a hammer? Simple.... Why wouldn't you got one?

acorn ... immediately I thought of Scrat the squirrel from the Ice Age movies ... LOL ... upvoted

Ha! Now that you say that I do too!
