I started "collecting" hand-poured silver in 2015 and only get those produced by friends from the silver stacking community, primarily to support their craft and to promote their YouTube channels.

Much like my love for the American Silver Eagle, Morgan Dollar, Peace Dollar, Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Barber Quarter, Mercury Dime, and the American icon Statue of Liberty, I gravitate towards designs in silver depicting American symbols like the Bald Eagle and the American Buffalo. It is natural and logical that my first 1 oz gold coin is the 1st year issue proof American Gold Buffalo.

I gifted the first Buffalo Silver Round to a dear friend because that silver piece was so beautiful it needed to be shared.

Yet, it is a must-have piece for me, so I ordered another one!

And just like the Eagle Silver Round, Rik stamped this Buffalo Silver Round with "SS" for Silver Saver, to ensure that it stays in my collection, LOL! The American Buffalo is an American icon just like the Bald Eagle.

The Bison or American Buffalo became the first national mammal joining the bald eagle as an American symbol, which is America's national emblem since 1782. The US Congress passed legislation, the National Bison Legacy Act, which names the hoofed beast as a “historical symbol of the United States” and establishes it as the nation’s landmark mammal.
