Well hello sailor, the second coin in the Rwanda Nautical Ounce has been released, HMS Endeavour is a Royal Navy ship that was commanded by James Cook on his voyage to Australia and New Zealand. The first coin in this series was the Santa Maria that was one of Christopher Columbus' vessels, im glad they didn't stick to a certain fleet as it opens the series to so many more famous ships such as Sir frances Drakes Golden Hind or even Edward Teaches' the Queen Annes Revenge, that would be a cool one to see, this could turn into a very long running series. My only decision im finding hard is should i leave them in the original plastic or encapsulate them?
Fun fact - HMS Endeavour has never landed on the moon and no conspiracy theories exist claiming that it has
My pocket piece has joined the party to see what the commotion is and check out how he would have looked had he not been released into the wild, as you can see there is almost no difference in quality and the opened coin shows very little signs of toning or wear, what? well yea if you look closely there is a little blemish. I dont have a clue what the mintage of these are, i did want to collect the proof versions but they sold out way too fast and the premiums were eye watering so i decided to just stick to the Rwanda Lunar proofs
Another ship themed coin is this 2018 Antigua & Barbuda round from Scottsdale mint, this round is the first of a new Rum Runner theme and has a reasonably low mintage of 25,000 and is worth picking one as a lower cost silver round and the series could be popular.
